30 Students, 30 Days, 1 Innovative Home!

West Virginia University, partnered with the Universita degli Studi di Roma Tor Vegata, is one of only 20 teams selected from an international field to compete in the U.S. Department of Energy’s Solar Decathlon competition, to build and transport a solar house to Irvine, CA. The competition is an award-winning program that challenges collegiate teams to design, build, and operate solar-powered houses that are cost-effective, energy-efficient, and attractive. The winner of the competition is the team that best blends affordability, consumer appeal, and design excellence with optimal energy production and maximum efficiency. There has already been tremendous dedication from the faculty, students and partner organizations, but we still need YOUR support in the project.
